Musical Performance
My Theory
I’ve always loved musicals—long before I even realized it. Growing up, High School Musical was one of my favorite films, and looking back, I can see how deeply musical theater shaped my imagination and spirit. It’s more than just a genre to me—it’s a way of life, a language of emotion that’s always felt like home.
What fascinates me most is how musical theater began as a way to express emotions too powerful for words alone. There’s something profoundly human about bursting into song or dance when feelings can’t be contained. Whether it's belting out heartache or whispering truths we’ve never dared to speak, musical theater gives us the courage to feel—and to be felt.
I truly believe there’s a piece of musical theater in everyone. Some express it through movement, others through voice—but it’s there, waiting to be awakened. For me, singing has always felt more honest than simply speaking lines on a stage. While acting will always be a part of the craft, music brings out a deeper truth in me. It’s in those moments—on stage, in song—that I feel most myself.
Musical theater hasn’t just been an art form for me. It’s been a source of healing, of inspiration, and of truth. It’s where I’ve found my voice—and where I’ve learned to listen to my heart.
